Dressed in Sound visits FLUX
In their work, the artist collective from Munich and Berlin combines music, movement and textile machines. Sewing machines become musical instruments, creating an exciting interplay between people, clothing and sound. The team performed ‘Sharper than a needle’ for the first time at the Therese-Giehse-Halle in Munich's Kammerspiele theatre. The performance is aimed at anyone interested in experimental music, textile art, performance or craftsmanship – and at people who want to hear and experience textile machines in a new way.
Dressed in Sound has been working together on projects combining textile art, craftsmanship, performance and sound since 2023. The collective includes Munich artists Stephanie Müller (Ragtreasure), Klaus Erika Dietl, Stefan Wischnewski, Karen Modrei and Berlin artist Lisa Simpson (Agente Costura).
